Legion of Honor: Jacques-Henri Eyraud, President of OM, promoted to the rank of knight
During the spring confinement, the Olympian leader, in office since 2016, has in fact decided to accommodate women and children at the Robert-Louis Dreyfus training center, who have benefited from the support of educators or psychologists. In association with the prefecture of Bouches-du-Rhône and the association "SOS Femmes 13", the OM had taken in these mothers in distress for nearly a month.
Via its foundation, the club also provided financial support to the Assistance Publique des Hôpitaux de Marseille. More recently, in collaboration with its sponsor Uber Eats, the maison ciel et blanc participated in the “Supporters of our Restaurants” operation to help independent restaurateurs hit by the Covid-19 crisis.
Jossinet, Krumbholz, Prudhomme...
Other well-known personalities in the world of sport were distinguished, such as the former Secretary of State in charge of sports Thierry Braillard, or the Olympic vice-champion in judo Frédérique Jossinet, now in charge of women's football at the FFF. Christian Prudhomme, director of the Tour de France, was promoted to officer of the National Order of Merit.
Olivier Krumbholz, coach of the French women's handball team, beaten in the final of the last Euro , or the former athlete Jean-Charles Trouabal, director of a firm specializing in sustainable high performance, were elevated to the rank of knight. The former navigator Isabelle Autissier, who had already been an officer of the Legion of Honor since 2009, attains the rank of commander. The president of the WWF France organization was proposed by the Ministry of Ecological Transition.
