Brin leads communications across the company and brings two decades of experience as a communications strategist, spokesperson, and executive speechwriter to this work.
Prior to joining McCourt, Brin was senior strategist for policy communications at Amazon, where she advised senior leadership on their engagement with policymakers, regulators, and Washington, DC-based media; and helped to manage communications surrounding congressional investigations and hearings. Before that, Brin was the director of executive & strategic communications at Nissan Motor Corporation, where she wrote for Nissan’s top executives and helped to develop and execute tailored communications strategies for the company’s executive committee members. She joined Nissan in 2012 and, until 2016, was based at its global headquarters in Japan. While living in Tokyo, Brin was the speechwriter for Nissan’s chairman & CEO.
Prior to Nissan, Brin served at the U.S. Department of Justice for three years as chief speechwriter to the Attorney General and led the department’s speechwriting team.
Brin began her career at the White House Office of Speechwriting. She has served two stints on Capitol Hill, including on the U.S. House Energy & Commerce Committee as deputy communications director, and has worked on U.S. Presidential and Senate campaigns. She has written speeches and opinion pieces and provided strategic guidance for a variety of business, government, and non-profit leaders and political candidates.
Brin earned a B.A. from Georgetown University and M.A. from Johns Hopkins University. In 2019, she became an adjunct instructor at American University’s School of Communication. Brin currently serves as an executive board member for CulturalDC, a D.C.-based arts nonprofit, and is a volunteer advocate for the National Foundation for Ectodermal Dysplasia and a volunteer fundraiser for Children’s National Hospital.
