In 2020, McCourt made the decision to integrate its deep legacy of social impact into the overall company strategy. The new vision, to build a new model of enterprise that maximizes value by integrating financial results with social impact, was officially adopted and guides both the existing company projects, as well as our newest initiatives.
Our purpose-led strategy was the genesis for Unfinished, a network of networks envisioned by Frank H. McCourt to bring the collective creativity, knowledge, and resources of our partners together in new and innovative ways to solve the most critical challenges of our time. Unfinished leverages creative media and new technology to elevate issues and create space for inclusive conversations that lead to new solutions. By creating accessible spaces for anyone to engage experts and decision-makers, Unfinished allows everyone to participate in the full power and possibility of civic imagination.
Unfinished emphasizes bringing together leading minds, institutions, and decision-makers, such as The Aspen Institute, the Ford Foundation, and Ashoka, with emerging leaders, new voices, and creative minds from communities around the world. By creating inclusive spaces and conditions for generating unique conversations and new ideas, we can move the traditional paradigm for solving problems from a top-down, disconnected approach to a more democratized, stakeholder-driven model. When we ask questions together, the answers naturally become more equitable.
